Xue Da Wu Ye (Snowflake Dan Cong)

Xue Da Wu Ye (Snowflake Dan Cong)

from $4.00

“Xue Da Wu Ye” can be translated as “Snowflake Dark Leaf”. These velvety dark green tea leaves were hand-picked from tea bushes at a medium altitude (over 600 meters) in the winter of 2022.

No rinsing is required. 6 - 8 grams of tea is suggested to put into your gaiwan (100 - 110 ml). Steep with boiling hot water (100℃/ 212℉) for 3 seconds. It can be steeped 10 - 13 times. After the initial steeping, steep for 3-6 seconds to compensate for the cooling water.

This Dan Cong is bright, refreshing, and easy-drinking. The warmth of your gaiwan will release the bright aroma of fresh-cut grass, kiwi, and starfruit from the dry leaves. Deeper buttery, sweet, and floral notes emerge as you steep the tea and the scent tickles your nose like a freshly bloomed flower. The liquor is medium-body and tastes of zesty starfuits, watermelon rinds, lilacs and warming cinnamon shortbread. The flavor stays consistent through many steeps at varied lengths and temperatures. We recommend pairing this tea with a sunny spring or summer day to maximize your enjoyment!
