These heavily roasted, dark, long, and twisted tea leaves were harvested in May, 2020. Because of how this tea was processed, it is darker and more warming than other dan cong teas.
The dry leaves of our Zhi Lan Xiang Dan Cong release a deep, roasted, fruity aroma. The scent becomes sweeter as soon as you add water. The smells of this tea are reflected in its flavor. We particularly like the thick, long lasting orchid aroma and how extends to the back of the throat.
Suggested Brewing:
No rinsing is required. 6 - 8 grams of tea is suggested to put into your gaiwan (100 - 110 ml). Steep with boiling hot water (100℃/ 212℉) for 3 seconds. It can be steeped 10 - 13 times. After the initial steeping, steep for 3-6 seconds to compensate for the cooling water.
