Sourced directly from a tea farmer in Wuyi Mountain Reserve. The tea leaves are collected from the Zheng Yan area in Wu Yi Mountain at an average elevation of 800 meters. These dark and twisted oolong tea leaves were harvested in May 2021 and hand-processed in very small batches.

This Competition Grade Da Hong Pao really packs a punch! It has a potent aroma of fruits, pine, and charcoal. The flavor is strong, complex, and lasts for many brews, so brace yourself for an intense tea drinking session. We especially like the long aftertaste of this tea. If you prefer a more gentle tea, we recommend using less leaves than you normally would. If you like bold yanchas, this is the tea for you!

Suggested Brewing:

No rinsing is required. 6 - 8 grams of tea is suggested to put into your gaiwan (100 - 110 ml). Steep with boiling hot water (100℃/ 212℉) for only 3 seconds, and add 3 - 5 seconds for the sequent infusions according to your preference. It can be steeped 6 - 8 times.
