Heavy Square Aged Wood Tray
Heavy Square Aged Wood Tray
The aged wood is used to build the doors, windows, and frames of old houses in China. The material of these hardwoods is from Camphor trees. They are solid and heavy, and all the complex texture tells you how much history each piece has. Each wood tea tray features a square shape and naturally appears with crack lines.
The wood material is solid and heavy, providing a steady base for your teaware. Small steel nails connect the major crake lines, and some lines are purposely left for a natural look. Please note that one side of these tea trays has a lifted edge, an intentional design. Each tea tray is similar to the others in size, shape, and material, with variations in natural wood patterns.
Important care instructions:
Please avoid putting a gaiwan or teapot directly on the wood when you brew tea, as the heat from your teaware could cause stains. Adding a fiber mat or a linen cloth under the gaiwan and teapot would protect the wood tray. Rinse it with cold water and dry it after cleaning.
