I came across this Mongolian artist at a weekend bazaar in Jingdezhen, China. His designs, rooted in his Mongolian culture, stood out from the more prevalent Han Chinese works. This tea tray features a unique hand carved pattern which is glazed in a matte orange color. It is delightfully unpretentious in its appearance, in my opinion, and distinctively Mongolian, which can add some diversity to your tea set.

It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
