We found these rustic pieces at a weekend bazaar in Jingdezhen, China. Each of these trays features a unique iron/metal rust matte appearance. The texture of this clay is relatively rough, and it features a hand-painted pattern of goat head. It provides plenty of room for your teapot or gaiwan. We particularly like the primal appearance and texture of this tea tray. It's a timeless piece for your collection.

It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. It’s safe to use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
