Handmade Silver Glazed Overhead Teapot
Handmade Silver Glazed Overhead Teapot
Handmade by a studio specializing in silver glazed teaware in Jingdezhen, China, this teapot features a silver metal-like glaze on the exterior and a glazed clay interior. The holes on the pot help it breathe. Please note that this teapot doesn’t have a filter. The teapot is small in size, so we recommend you use it as a teapot instead of a kettle. We especially like the raw metal appearance and natural material handle design. Please note that this teapot cannot be heated directly on a stove or charcoal. Doing so may cause the silver to melt.
The tarnished appearance develops over time with exposure to air. We consider this slow and natural process something that adds character to teaware made from silver rather than a flaw.

Additional Information:
It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
