Hand-painted Moonface Tea Jar
Hand-painted Moonface Tea Jar
Handmade by a studio specializing in moonface textured teaware in Jingdezhen, China, these tea jars feature a prominent light gray glaze with hand-painted patterns, adorned with sporadic carbon trappings and peacock eyes. Made from crude pottery clay, they offer a smooth and comfortable feel in the hands. The lid, also made of clay, may allow some air in, making it ideal for short-term tea storage. Tea lovers commonly use tea jars like these on their tea tables to hold teas consumed daily.
Please note that there is a tiny chip on the mouth of the plum tea jar, and the reduced price reflects this flaw.

Additional Information:
It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
