Handmade in Jingdezhen, China, this smoky turquoise tea jar is glazed on the outside before firing. The interior is not glazed. During the firing, soda is added which results in a unique texture, pattern, and color. The lid is made of wood with a rubber seal which makes it air-tight for tea storage.

It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
