Handmade and hand-painted by an artist from Jingdezhen, China, this teapot features a dragon egg shape with a transparent glossy seafoam glaze. The potter painted a spirit animal galloping through the clouds, each brushstroke carefully painted since a single mistake could ruin the whole piece. It has an unglazed interior.
We particularly like the fierce personality of the creature and how it melds with base glaze. Holds approximately 175 ml of liquid. It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
