Handmade by a potter from Yunan, China. These teacups are made from 100% Jianshui purple clay. Purple clay ("zitao" in Chinese) has actually five colors: purple, red, white, yellow and green. And these teacups are made from naturally occurring black clay. It feels very smooth in hands.

Additional Information:
It’s food safe, of course. I strongly recommend that you wash it only with water, and use it gently. Please do not use soap to wash or rinse your pot because it might also absorb the scent from the soap. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
