Handmade Wood Fired Light Gray Lotus Flower Teacup ( A Pair )

Handmade Wood Fired Light Gray Lotus Flower Teacup ( A Pair )
Handcrafted by a studio specializing in wood-fired teaware in Jingdezhen, China, these teacups showcase light gray glazes adorned with intricately carved lotus flower patterns. Traditional wood-fired kilns, now rare in China, involve a labor-intensive process that imparts a unique, natural glazing not achievable in more common electric kilns.
The distinct texture, color, and patterns found in wood-fired teaware result from direct exposure to fire and ash over an extended period, making them highly sought-after. We particularly appreciate the glaze texture and the delicate lotus flower pattern design of these teacups. Please note that the listing is for a pair of teacups.

It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
