Gobi Desert Soda Firing Teacup (a set of three)
Gobi Desert Soda Firing Teacup (a set of three)
Handmade in Jingdezhen, China, these teacups are glazed on both sides before firing. During the firing, soda is added, resulting in a unique texture, pattern, and color. We particularly like the brown and earthy glaze, which reminds us of the Gobi desert. Please note that one of these three teacups has a kintsukuroi (repairing teaware with lacquer that is mixed with golden powder) on the edge/mouth. The small size of these teacups makes them perfect for a gongfu tea setup. This order comes with three teacups.

It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
