We found these rustic pieces at a weekend bazaar in Jingdezhen, China. Each of these trays features a unique iron/metal rust matte appearance. The texture of this clay is relatively rough. It provides plenty of room for your teapot or gaiwan. We particularly like the primal appearance and texture of this tea tray. It's a timeless piece for your collection. These square ceramic pot supports will catch drips and protect your table. It also holds approximately 160 ml of liquid and can be easily emptied via a small hole in the corner. It's very convenient to serve tea with this tea tray because you don't need an extra container for waste liquid.

It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
