Handmade Bamboo Jianshui Teapot
Handmade by a potter from Yunnan, China, this jianshui teapot is made with naturally occurring matte black clay. As opposed toour regular selection of small teapots from Jianshui, this particular one fits a bigger hand and holds approximately 150 ml of liquid.
The teapot is inspired by the spirit and shape of bamboo. Chinese people love bamboo because it represents moral integrity, resistance, modesty and loyalty. It also serves as an example of loneliness and elegance, among other meanings. The lid of the teapot features the bamboo knots with the leaf of the bamboo curving towards the spout and body of this teapot. We particularly like the inspiration and large capacity of this jianshui teapot.

Additional Information:
It’s food safe, of course. I strongly recommend that you wash it only with water, and use it gently. Please do not use soap to wash or rinse your pot because it might also absorb the scent from the soap. You can also use a bamboo handle brush to gently wipe away excess water during and after using any porous clay pots (Yixing, Jianshui) to help ensure it develops an even finish.
