Handmade in Jingdezhen, China, these gaiwans are inspired by camelia, featuring a floral edging and a prominent grey-white glaze covered with sporadic carbon trappings and peacock eyes. Not as glossy as the Rose Quartz Gaiwan, these gaiwans have a more raw, unfinished look. And here and there you will find crackled patterns and crystal spots. The Jingdezhen Gaolin clay and natural mineral glaze never look the same twice when removed from the kiln, so each piece is always unique. It’s always a fun surprise to see the final work.
