Crafted in Jingdezhen, China, this Blue Rain gaiwan is made from traditional white porcelain, showcasing a dark blue glaze on the exterior and a white glaze inside. The wide-edge design not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also ensures ease of handling, preventing heat from reaching your fingers during use. With its slightly heavier and broader construction, it's particularly suited for individuals with larger hands. Each gaiwan model is accompanied by a matching saucer.
Please note that there are two flaws in this version of the gaiwan: one is located at the bottom of the matching saucer, and the other is on the backside of the lid. It's important to emphasize that these flaws do not impact the functionality of the gaiwan. The price has been lowered to reflect the presence of these flaws.

It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
