Jasmine White Tea
Jasmine White Tea
This Jasmine White Tea is an innovative project that Master Chen has been experimenting with for 6 years based on his jasmine green tea technique. The Jasmine white tea uses 3rd grade Bai Mu Dan as the white tea base and is scented using a new technique that helps to avoid the bitterness and watery taste from white tea.
Different from the high fragrance of traditional jasmine green, the white tea base provides a mild, gentle, and delicate aroma that doesn’t have to work hard to impress you. The last thing you want in jasmine tea is all the flavor of the jasmine flower without any tea taste. Master Chen thoughtfully portioned the amount of jasmine flower, making sure it blended harmoniously with the white tea.
The white tea taste beautifully complements the jasmine flowers. The flavor is gentle but enduring. You will love the tickling jasmine scent and the complex white tea sweetness.
Suggested brewing:
For brewing in a gaiwan: ratio 1:30, boiling water (212°F/100°C), steep for 10 seconds, then pour it out. Add more time to steeping as you go further. It can be brewed 6 - 8 times.
Cold-brew: use mineral water, ratio 1:100. Add tea leaves to the cup, then let it sit in the fridge for 1 hour or so.
