Moonlight White Wood Fired Teacup

Moonlight White Wood Fired Teacup
Handmade by the same potter who creates the “Snow White Wood-Fired Gaiwan” in Jingdezhen, China, these teacups feature a semi-glossy natural grey flame and moonlight white glaze. It was created with refined ceramic clay, and the unique appearance is a result of direct exposure to fire and ash over a long period.
Traditional wood-fired kilns have become rare in China today. The laborious process of wood-firing creates a unique, natural glazing, that can’t be achieved in more common and easier to use electric kilns. The special texture, color, and pattern of wood-fired teaware is a result of direct exposure to fire and ash over a long period, making wood-fired teaware some of the most sought-after teaware today.
