Handmade by a potter in Jianshui, Yunnan, this flower-shaped tea filter is made of brown, unglazed jianshui clay. We especially like the floral edge and clay material of this filter. It does a perfect job of filtering tea leaves when you pour tea from you gaiwan into a faircup.

It’s food safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. It’s suitable to use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. But try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
