Handmade by a potter from Jingdezhen, China, these gaiwan feature an aged tree bark texture with an egg yolk colored glaze. Each piece from this potter is hand-thrown on a wheel, helping them make the weight and thickness of the walls of their teaware perfectly balanced.The walls aren’t too thick or too thin, making it easier to pour. The wide mouth of the bowl makes it less likely to burn your fingertips. It's perfect for a gaiwan newbies and experienced gong fu cha drinkers alike. Please note that this whole set comes with a gaiwan and two matching teacups.

Additional Information:
It’s food-safe, of course. And also dishwasher safe. However, I strongly recommend that you wash and dry it by hand, and use it gently. Please do not use on an open flame, gas or electric stove-top. And try to avoid alternating hot and cold, which could cause cracking.
