It was a glorious autumn weekend in Stockbridge, MA. On Saturday, I was invited by Jia Jia, the owner of Tea Tell Truth, to host a tea ceremony and mindfulness session with her at No. 6 Depot in West Stockbridge. We poured tea slowly, savored the notes, and shared our thoughts. The fast pace of life slowed that afternoon, and we forgot the time as we enjoyed every moment of the tea ceremony with our enthusiastic guests.
I am so grateful that Jia Jia makes the effort to keep the tea drinking traditions of China alive here in New England. Jia Jia's mom was visiting, and she is a master of brewing and serving puerh tea. We were lucky to be served by her. She spoke of three important factors that will affect the quality of your tea: your mood; the appropriate temperature of the water; and your patience. We were all inspired by her wisdom.
We hope our guests left knowing that they can enjoy magical, mindful, and tranquil moments with tea, in their own cozy homes... alone with their tea, or sharing it with a dear company.
